This beautiful new, private lakefront cottage with 5 bedrooms, a fully finished basement and 3 baths, sleeps 8. Nestled in a cove on peaceful Bitter Lake in the Haliburton Highlands at the heart of Ontario’s vacation paradise, this elegant retreat epitomizes the enduring charms of cottage life with all the modern conveniences, affording you full time fun and relaxation.

The vaulted pine ceilings in the Great Room and elevated 9 foot ceilings everywhere else (even downstairs), impart a fresh and airy spaciousness and the elegant Viceroy windows let in plenty of light. Gorgeous teak hardwood flooring throughout with porcelain tiles in the kitchen and hall. Lower level boasts a kitchenette, large screen TV with Blu-ray DVD player and a ping pong table.

We’ve stayed at Bit ‘O Paradise for the last 2 years and loved the place both times. It’s clean, modern with all the comforts and yet has a great cottage feel.

The dock and water are amazing and our 2 families (4 adults and 4 teenagers) spent most of our days down there. When it rained, hanging inside the cottage was just as nice…watching movies, playing table tennis or just reading, there’s more than enough room for everyone.

After renting over 20 cottages in the last 15 years, this has to have been one of the best.

A walk-out deck overlooks a wooded landscape with sculpted stone steps to the water — 142 feet of pristine lakefront. Soak up the great outdoors with south-east exposure providing all day sun on the dock.

Spring fed, Bitter Lake is exceptionally pure. Clear and weed-free for swimming. Situated south of Algonquin Park and just 3 hrs. NE of Toronto, the cottage is only 10 minutes from Kennisis Lake Marina and the 65,000 acre Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve with its world-renowned Wolf Observatory, groomed trails for biking and hiking and snowmobiling.

We’re deep in the woods, but just twenty minutes from shopping, restaurants and live entertainment.

THE WATERFRONT

142′ of waterfront. Large slab rock shoreline. Sculpted stone steps slope down to a level lake front. Lake side fire pit. Shallow entry. South-east exposure for all day sun on dock. Cottage comes with canoe, paddleboat and zodiac row boat.
