Long-time lake resident, Lea Harper is an award-winning writer and musician and a registered travel agent with TICO. Lea established Kennisis Cottage Rentals in 2006 to meet the increasing demand for lakefront holiday accommodations and she brings to the table years of cottaging experience. An extensive roster of loyal clients attests to the value of this personal touch and level of commitment. Lea Harper – Owner & Manager
Lea’s romance with cottage life began when her parents bought a summer residence on Kennisis Lake in 1956. A proud cottage owner, property manager, and professional provider of lakefront accommodations, she has made responsible renting her top priority. This care and commitment translates to hundreds of valued return guests annually. Lea takes particular delight in sharing her knowledge and experience with new vacationers discovering the joys of cottaging for the first time.
Tammy Everitt – Design & Marketing
Having grown up on Kennisis Lake, Tammy has a deep love and connection to the area and the lifestyle that comes with it. Whether it is kneeboarding, tubing, boating, fishing, snowmobiling or even speed-boat racing, Tammy takes full advantage of the playground that is Haliburton.
Tammy loves the lake life so much in fact, that she named her own daughter Laken and takes great joy in sharing it with her.
Tammy studied graphic design at Haliburton School of the Arts and has ample experience in property maintenance and landscaping. Her creative and artistic eye combined with the tools of the trade her mother, Lea, has shared with her, make Tammy a natural fit for the Kennisis Cottage Rentals team.
Marena Wigmore – Records, Web development & Customer Relations
As a lifelong cottager on Kennisis Lake and a family friend of Lea and Tammy, it was an easy decision for Marena to permanently move to Haliburton. Countless hours spent on the dock, or in a lakeside hammock developed a bottomless appreciation in her for every moment of cottage time.
Along with working part-time with Kennisis Cottage Rentals, Marena works with Haliburton Forest and Yours Outdoors and brings a wealth of knowledge of the incredible experiences available in the county beyond the lake.
