PROFILE
Discover a one-of-a-kind luxury retreat on the crystal-clear shores of Kennisis Lake, where rich history, exceptional craftsmanship, and modern comfort come together to create an unforgettable holiday experience.
At its heart, Bluebeary Hill is Ontario’s oldest reconstructed 2 ½ storey log home – meticulously restored to preserve its remarkable heritage while offering the amenities today’s discerning guests expect. Every detail has been lovingly curated, from the beautiful, reclaimed stonework and hand-hewn timber to the fireplace salvaged from an old church. The skill and artistry of the architect and designer are evidenced throughout, with custom staircase railings, intricate metal scrollwork, and beautiful wildlife-inspired artwork. Natural materials are blended seamlessly to create an atmosphere of warmth, elegance, and timeless charm.
A prime waterfront location, nestled in a quiet bay on an oversized lot with an impressive 268 feet of private shoreline, Bluebeary Hill is a secluded lakeside sanctuary surrounded by mature forest and colourful perennial gardens. Easy-access stone pathways wind through the property, leading to a picnic area, lakeside fire pit, and an expansive private dock – perfect for swimming, boating, fishing, or simply relaxing in a Muskoka chair.
The lake is always in view from the covered porch, spacious family room, or a bedroom. A soaring cathedral ceiling crowns the fully equipped chef’s kitchen, while the sun-filled Haliburton Room provides the perfect sanctuary to curl up with a book or enjoy your morning coffee. Kids will love their own loft hideaway, while adults can unwind on the front deck, listening to the haunting call of the loon and breathing in a pine-scented breeze.
Whether you’re planning a multi-generational family gathering, celebrating a special occasion with friends, or escaping for a romantic couples’getaway, Bluebeary Hills offers a truly unique four-season cottage experience. Come create lasting memories at one of Haliburton Highland’s most distinctive waterfront retreats.
A premier holiday destination, Kennisis Lake boasts miles of boating pleasure, uninhabited islands to explore, stunning vistas, and weed-free waters for swimming. There’s a marina on the lake for those last-minute supplies, a coffee and ice cream kiosk, and all your watercraft needs, plus a terrific lakeside takeout spot with picnic tables, pickleball, and summer entertainment.
You’re just minutes from the 100,000-acre Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve with its groomed hiking and biking trails and world-famous Wolf Observatory. Free from hustle and bustle yet close enough to shopping, golf courses, restaurants, and entertainment, should you choose to venture forth.
