A mere 40 feet from shore, this remarkable gem from days gone by — a 2,200 square foot two story cottage — has been renovated to maintain its rustic charm, without losing a bit of its distinctive character. Given the spacious layout and oversized rooms, the warm pine flooring in the main living and dining areas, beamed ceiling, stone fireplace and satellite TV on both floors, it’s truly a lovely find, and a holiday setting you won’t soon forget.

There’s a screened sitting room overlooking the lake, and a more than welcoming frontage – a level lotfor outdoor games like badminton, bocce ball or lawn darts — with lounge furniture and Muskoka chairs, fire pit and hammock. Designed for recreation and relaxation, our lakeside haven also boasts a serious stand up bar, not to mention table top hockey, shuffle board and dart board. And with 4 bedrooms we can comfortably sleep 8, included a master with ensuite bathroom. All of this on a quiet backroad within 15 minutes of the town of Gooderham and 20 minutes from the town of Haliburton.

This cottage is conveiniently located right at snowmobile trails for easy access. It is in a great location for ice fishing, showshoeing and cross country skiing. Sir Sam’s Ski hill is abput 45 minsutes away, and Silent Lake provincial park is about 30 minutes.

There is a UV drinking water system, a dishwasher and overhead fans in the bedrooms for those sizzling summer nights, but with the breezes off the lake you should be more than comfortable. A family cottage to the core, it comes with 2 adult and 2 kids kayaks and a rowboat. Ample docking. Good fishing. Great swimming. What more could you ask for? Well, the sun shines down on the porch, grassy play area and dock from 11:00 am to late afternoon and the cottage faces west for terrific sunsets.

OMG we had the best time… Colbie, our 5-year-old granddaughter caught close to 100 fish… made everyone’s week. Great lake and waterfront. Nice and spacious for all of us. Everyone agrees we will be back!
