Our lake house presents a bright and airy open living space, elegant yet casual, and the bed arrangements are oriented toward a three-generational family.

Step out onto a wrap-around deck with a propane BBQ and Adirondack chairs or enter the balcony off the master bedroom for your morning coffee. Sculpted stairs lead to a lakeside firepit and stationery and floating docks.

Welcome to your home away from home, at the heart of Ontario’s premier holiday destination. Kennisis Lake boasts miles of boating pleasure, uninhabited islands to explore, stunning vistas, and weed-free waters for swimming. There’s a marina on the lake for those last-minute supplies, a coffee and ice cream kiosk, and all your watercraft needs, plus a terrific lakeside takeout spot with picnic tables, pickleball, and summer entertainment. You’re just minutes from the 100,000 acre Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve with its groomed hiking and biking trails and world-famous Wolf Observatory. Free from hustle and bustle yet close enough to shopping, golf courses, restaurants, and entertainment should you choose to venture forth.

THE WATERFRONT

All day sun on the dock! Watch the sun set till 9pm. Waterfront deck and floating dock for deep water swimming. 500- 600 feet of frontage in a quiet bay that wraps around a point. A shallow walk-in area by mid-summer. (A bit of a beach by the end of the season.) A Canoe, a double and a single kayak, paddle board, peddle boat and lily pad for lots of fun in the lake. An easy 30 steps from the cottage to the lookout deck.

Firepit with wood provided, wifi and Apple TV streaming. Woodburning fireplace and furnace for cozy fall, winter and spring stays. Water cooler (+ jugs), griddle, second fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Crib and playpen. Generator in case of power outage, convertible ping-pong and pool table, board games for all!
